...

In cateva secunde viata ta poate lua sfarsit.

After Christmas

We did not have a white Christmas, but it was one of the best holidays ever...I was together with my whole family...

On 24th December our entire family came to us for the Christmas dinner - and Ionut was also with me :-) so it was a perfect evening. We got a lot of presents - so I was really nice this year :-) and Ionut gave me his hearth :-)))) made of small white "rocks"...

Our small godson was happy with his toys and smelling the tree...

And on Friday we left to the country to visit Ionut family, especially his mother. So I had a change to celebrate also the traditional village Christmas - and it was great, as the whole family of Ionut was there, and we spent two great days eating, drinking, walking in the woods, and watching the snow outside...the only problem that it was too cold for me :-)))

And now...I am back at work in Bucharest :-( why? why me? why now? but only for 3 days...after that we have 4 more days of holidays and party :-)

I am not sure what are we going to do for New Year - probably we will go to a party of our friends, but the important thing is that we will be together ;-)

And then our godparents are coming again to Bucharest, so the whole weekend we will party with them :-) plus my mom is having her birthday soon, so we will celebrate it this weekend... great end of the year, and even better start of a new year...

I wish you all Happy New Year!

Thinking about life...

It is mid October, outside the weather is simply great - a long sunny autumn. However, not everything in my life is so sunny.
My uncle is having again some serious health problems - I really do not feel like talking about it right now. I just hope God will think about us, and everything will be solved perfectly for him. So let's just hope, and cross our fingers...

I think Romania is really a strange country. I always knew we are a country of strange people, where money can buy anything and where respect is not existing...but in the last few weeks I am really shocked to find out that we are even worse...it is like a science fiction movie...but I am acting in it without my will.
I am living in a country where it is quite normal do steal, falsify and blackmail. It is strange how we understand the freedom...completely different than other European countries. and surprisingly, there are people, who are accusing the Communist regime that was in Romania for so many years, and condemn those of us who are trying to suggest that there was a good part in it...and they are still ruling as a communist dictators. This is really amazing, how some of us can be so hypocritic. And listening to them you just think, that it is just a bad joke, or a bad dream, and you will wake up eventually. But no, you are not waking up, you find out more thinks about people "around" you and you are getting angry and wonder when it will end...probably never, cause as long as you have enough money, you rule in Romania. In a wrong way - you are able to falsify different kind of documents, laughting in face of justice, because you know nothing can happen to you, you can easily blackmail the influent persons around you, cause you have to power to do so, and you do not care if it is correct or not, you are stealing with the feeling that as a 'supreme ruler' you can do whatever you want...this is Romania after 18 years from the fall of Communist regime...
Not to mention that decent behavior is something as rare as an unicorn...why the hell we should say "good day" to someone? So what we have been in their house for so many times...now we do not need them anymore, so just ignore them - this is the correct behavior in our "new Romania"...
And the worse is that they are so pround of themselves...they are actually thinking they are the best...yeah they are...but only in Romania, cause it is a "junk country" where this kind of behavior is still working...But try to behave like this outside your country and you will see what happens...that is also the reason why they are not able to live outside Romania - they would be just a zero...
So, thinking about all these things, I wonder if you have any chance to become normal - but I am afraid I won't live that long...maybe my children will be lucky enough...
We are wasting our country - we do have a great country - but people living in it are destroying everything - we do not know how to become better, we are able just to steal and obtain money from doing nothing...

Holiday

So we are back from our great holiday...we were almost two weeks together, out of Romania, out of jobs, out of stress...

So, France was great, especially Nice...I wonder how come someone is able to say, that you cannot eat in Nice, as all the food in the restaurant is terrible...well as I know the persons actually I am not so surprised :-)

We had great weather, sun and warm and we did see everything...poor Ionut, he was not able to walk after the first two days ;-)

I think Nice is the place where we want to go for the honeymoon...so here is one idea for wedding present :-) just kiding.

Paris was also nice...well for me it was not the first time, but it was nice to walk with Ionut. And surprise...we had great weather also, no rain, wuite warm and pleasant. We went for one day to Euro Disney...great day, I was the crazy mouse jumping all over the park :-)

Quite similar to the one in LA, just smaller.

And the last weekend of our vacation we were in Brussels, for the wedding of Nicholas and Isabelle. It was the best wedding ever. Great place - old castle from 1770, great food - not so much as it is typical for Romanian weddings, but absolutelly great, and the music was also very nice. We had a great time at their wedding. I just had a small problem trying to recognize Nicholas from Alexander - they are twins...I always thought I am talking to the other one...now I am OK, I hope...Nicholas is having a wedding ring :-)))))

And the return home was quite unpleasant...bad weather, a lot of work at job, different situation in the personal life - very unpleasant and disgusting...

So, I am looking forward for the next trip to Prague...just two more months and I am there :-)))

Have a great week.

Tudor Gheorghe

Two days ago Ionut took me to a concert of Tudor Gheorghe. He is a Romanian singer, but I did not like him very much...most of his songs are really sad and depressive.
However, this concert was supposed to be with song from "old Bucharest". At that time, Bucharest was the Little Paris...now things are so different.
Anyway, the conceet was very nice, with great songs and for two hours you felt like living in that period, without realizing that outsite the terrase there is 21st century...
Bucharest between the wars was for sure beautiful, the citizens were so different and most of all, the city was clean and respectable.
The songs were dedicated to women from that period, to romantism and the way how men were trying to gain the heart of their beloved.
So, after this concert I have changed my opinion about him. He surprised me in a good way, made me feel beautiful for the whole night and made me think about that period, about the differences and that Bucharest was a great city at one point.
I am leaving you with a link to one of his songs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWoAEjsuqzI
And even if you won't understand the lyricss enjoy the images from that period...and I am sure you will feel the atmospehere from the sounds...Let's try and return to that period, to be again moral and to have dignity, to respect the country and their citizens...

Church...

So finally after a long time I have found the church for the wedding. It is really amazing and you have a feeling of peace and quiet when you enter the church - despite the fact that it is quite huge.

It was funny how I found this church. I made a list of churches I want to see, and I took my mom on Saturday morning to go and visit all of them. On the way to one church, my mom saw between the trees the cupola of a church and she proposed to stop and see also this one. It was quite a surprise to find out, that we are actually on the right place - that we have found the church we were supposed to go :-)

The priest was a very nice man in his middle age, but he was creating an aura of love and peace. We liked the church very much and I have decided to reserve it for our big Day. Afterwards we found out that our godmother and godfather had their wedding also here...
