Tudor Gheorghe

Two days ago Ionut took me to a concert of Tudor Gheorghe. He is a Romanian singer, but I did not like him very much...most of his songs are really sad and depressive.
However, this concert was supposed to be with song from "old Bucharest". At that time, Bucharest was the Little Paris...now things are so different.
Anyway, the conceet was very nice, with great songs and for two hours you felt like living in that period, without realizing that outsite the terrase there is 21st century...
Bucharest between the wars was for sure beautiful, the citizens were so different and most of all, the city was clean and respectable.
The songs were dedicated to women from that period, to romantism and the way how men were trying to gain the heart of their beloved.
So, after this concert I have changed my opinion about him. He surprised me in a good way, made me feel beautiful for the whole night and made me think about that period, about the differences and that Bucharest was a great city at one point.
I am leaving you with a link to one of his songs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWoAEjsuqzI
And even if you won't understand the lyricss enjoy the images from that period...and I am sure you will feel the atmospehere from the sounds...Let's try and return to that period, to be again moral and to have dignity, to respect the country and their citizens...

Church...

So finally after a long time I have found the church for the wedding. It is really amazing and you have a feeling of peace and quiet when you enter the church - despite the fact that it is quite huge.

It was funny how I found this church. I made a list of churches I want to see, and I took my mom on Saturday morning to go and visit all of them. On the way to one church, my mom saw between the trees the cupola of a church and she proposed to stop and see also this one. It was quite a surprise to find out, that we are actually on the right place - that we have found the church we were supposed to go :-)

The priest was a very nice man in his middle age, but he was creating an aura of love and peace. We liked the church very much and I have decided to reserve it for our big Day. Afterwards we found out that our godmother and godfather had their wedding also here...
